St Margaret's Campfire (updated)

All Scouts are to take note that St Margaret's Campfire fall in time has changed.
Attire: Full Scout Uniform (without beret)
All Scouts are to fall in outside the Den at 1745 hrs (5:45 pm) and not 6:15pm. Please have your dinner beforehand and bring along your water bottle.

30th March 2011 Meeting (wednesday)

There will be meeting on the 30th March 2011

Time:1415-1730
Venue: Scout Den, Primary School
Attire: Pt kit for sec 2s-3s and sec1s- PE with black shoes

Activity: Campcraft 1430-1630 (Objective is for everyone to learn how to build 6-men tent, timing must be under 16min for the first time doing)
Physical Training 1630-1730

II) St. Margaret Campfire

There will be a Campfire on Friday(01/04/11). The details are as follows:

Fall In: Outside Scout Den
Attire: Full Scout Uniform


Due to the Campfire being on a friday, meeting has been cancelled. So please go home and rest well, before coming to school at 1745hrs.

25th March 2011, Friday Meeting

Time: 1415 - 1740
Fall in: Primary School Field @ 1415
Attire: Full Scout Uniform
Bags are to be placed at Class 3B

Activities:
1415-1450 : Ceremony (Duty patrol: Kingfisher)
I know it is not out patrol but they are your brothers so I expect at least after everyone eat finish your 5-8mins lunch and come down to help, you dont want your brothers to suffer :P For sec 1s that doesnt know how build, you can take a look on how the sec 2,3 build and you might be able to learn some useful knots so that during when its our time as Duty Patrol, we can achieve greater heights

1450-1700:
Secondary 2 - 3s: Footdrill Course (FDC)
Please go study all your SS commands and some of the basics ASS command, they can be found in your log book (Sec2s and 3s)
Venue: Primary School Parade Square

Secondary 1s: World Scout Badge theory lesson
Sec 1 do listen to the lesson by SPL Daryl Chan, as there is a test after the lesson is conducted, anything you dont understand, ask :D
Venue: Class 3B

1700-1730 : Closing Ceremony
Venue: Primary School Field

Please remember to bring your job week card put into an envelope with your name, class, amount earn and card ID number. This friday meeting is the dateline, I expect all to hand up. :)


Zhong Hua Campfire
This Saturday, 26th March 2011, is ZhongHua Campfire. Fall in at the Den at 1600 hrs for song -teaching session. Attendance is COMPULSORY. If you have something on, you can go to zhonghua secondary school. Zhonghua secondary is at 13 Serangoon Ave 3, 5-10min walk from serangoon mrt station.

Attire: Full Scout Uniform
Because there is meeting on friday and attire is Full scout uniform and you need where it on Saturday, I suggest you all just wash your scout shirt right after the meeting not your scout pants, so that it can be easily dry by the next day. This is just a suggestion, not a must

23rd March 2011 Wednesday Meeting

Time: 1415 - 1740
Fall in: Outside Scout Den @ 1415
Attire: PT kit 1 (Secondary 2-3 Scouts)
PE Attire with black shoes and scout socks (Secondary 1 Scouts)
Bags are to be placed at Class 3B

Activities:
1415-1430 : Administrative
Venue: Outside Den

1430-1630: Backwoodsman if raining we will either be doing PAK or campcraft
Venue: Primary School Parade Square

1630-1710: Physical Training

1710-1730: Collection of Job Week Cards
1740: Dismissal
Venue: Class 3B


Remember to bring your job week card with money sealed in an envelope, indicating Name, Class, Job Week Card ID number, Amount of Money inside. Money must tally with the amount written on the job week card. To Scouts who are attending Sport's day heats on Wednesday, please inform me and pass to me your envelope, including everything stated above, starting this Wednesday only. (before, during, or after meeting) All Job week card and money are to be handed up latest by this Wednesday.

No meeting

There wont be meeting on the 11th March Friday due to PTM however on the saturday on the 12th March 2011 Please come to school in Full Scout Uniform for both sec 1s, 2s and 3s. Please be reminded that we will try to achieve $200 so I will split you all up into groups of three and each group will try to earn money through jobs somewhere near the place and after that we will meet up during noon for a break and for lunch.

Details as follows
Time: 7.30am (dismissed by respective PLs)
Fall In Location: Outside Scout Den
Jobweek Location: Probably somewhere near a scout from our patrol house
Attire: Full Scout Uniform

Lastly please remember bring your job week card and youur beret, I will be handing out your beret backing tmr :)

Patrol in council

I had already look through each sec 2's potential and I really each of you have the potential to lead in one way or another, although there will be only one APL but dont be sad because in all you are still the best :)

So each of you will have to take up a role to push the patrol further in standards physically and psychology thinking.... :) This will also definitely build up your leadership skills....

So APL-HO JIA LE ( secretary ) Mainly to collect money as I will be planning a patrol fund for each scout to pay $2 per 2 weeks so that whenever times we go out for patrol outing or buying of materials, I can easily draw out from the patrol fund, then u dont have to pay more money. Jia Le will also update the blog and you can find jia le for more information instead of me

Next Ho Li Yang- Scribe. Mainly incharge of writing errors the patrol make in terms of different component and also write down during PLC. Li Yang will be required to bring foolscap and pen for meetings.

Next Isaac Loh- Timer, Isaac will be the main timer when falling in unless his watch Isaac, if you have any things on timing that you dont know, please ask me

Lastly Ryan Goh- First aider. Ryan will be the first aider, whenever someone is not feeling well in the patrol ryan will attend to him. The first aider will be required to fall in during patrol meeting in any case the first aider is not able to attend the meeting, I will take up the role of the first aider and the first aider when someone cannot make it do fall out and attend to him. I will also buy a patrol first aid kit for ryan with the patrol funds when it had been collected.

I hope you guys will take up this roles seriously.
